Hubert Hurkacz pulled out of the singles and doubles events at the Olympics through injury.
July served Hubert Hurkacz terribly after what was a positive opening run on the grass.
The Pole dived for a volley against Arthur Fils in the second round of Wimbledon and in doing so sustained a serious knee injury that later required surgery.
With his Olympic dreams of partnering Iga Swiatek in the mixed doubles in tatters, Hurkacz was later dealt terrible recovery news, as his season looked more or less over.
Still in the draw however at the Montreal Open, the big-serving Pole has been spotted on the practice courts ahead of the tournament as his long stint on the sidelines potentially looks to have significantly lessened.

The world number seven looked set for a painful and long-stint on the sidelines, with the Pole admitting that we might only see him next in 2025.
However, rumours of a premature comeback have been circulating after Hurkacz, seeded fourth, remains in the draw at the Montreal Open.
Pictured and captioned, “Montreal loading,” by ATP Coach, Matt Terczynski, the Pole is seen warming up on court, albeit with some strapping and tape on his right knee.
After picking up the title in Estoril and reaching the final in Halle, Hurkacz had been tipped for a deep run at Wimbledon, before injury put a major spanner in the works.
The world number seven is still sitting at a career high position in the ATP rankings, but with this big career knock, his swift recovery is ultimately the most important thing.
Hubert Hurkacz would be hoping to find his best form on the hard courts
The Pole has found considerable success on the hard courts, with victory at the 2021 Miami Open his first Masters 1000 title.
With the ball flying off the court, his serve acts as a major weapon and has historically helped him reach the latter stages of big hard court tournaments.
His second Masters 1000 title was also on the hard courts of Shanghai where he defeated Andrey Rublev and Sebastian Korda on his way to the final.
Regardless of his appearance at Montreal, Hurkacz will be hoping to slowly play himself back into the fray, as we wait to hear more updates on his knee.
