The WTA Tour rankings have been updated after Coco Gauff won the Wuhan Open final against fellow American Jessica Pegula.
Pegula congratulated Gauff on her victory in Wuhan, which represents a third WTA 1000 title for the 21-year-old.
Gauff won their Wuhan Open final 6-4, 7-5 for her second title of 2025 and the 11th of her career, with Pegula remaining on figures of three and nine respectively.
The schedule has already moved on to the likes of the Ningbo Open and the Japan Open, which represent WTA 500 and 250 events respectively.
They build towards the WTA Finals Riyadh next month, with Gauff and Pegula among the players to have already qualified.
New WTA top 10 as Jessica Pegula changes ranking after her Wuhan Open final with Coco Gauff
Along with her qualification that was achieved during her Wuhan Open run, Pegula has now climbed one place to fifth in the WTA rankings.
She has replaced Mirra Andreeva, who has fallen one spot to sixth, with Ekaterina Alexandrova representing the only other change.
The Russian has climbed one spot to 10th for her career-high ranking, with Qinwen Zheng dropping out of the top 10.

Jack Draper drops within ATP top 10 as Shanghai Masters concludes
There is just one change within the new ATP top 10 rankings, which has been confirmed following the conclusion of the Shanghai Masters.
Valentin Vacherot stunned the entire field by lifting the trophy, defeating his cousin Arthur Rinderknech in the final.
Vacherot has risen to 40th in the rankings after his stunning win, with his move from world number 204 representing a huge 164-place climb.
Rinderknech has risen 26 places to 28th, while in the top 10 only Lorenzo Musetti and Jack Draper have moved spots.

The Italian has climbed one place to eighth, with the Briton falling one place to ninth, having already decided to end his 2025 season.
Carlos Alcaraz remains top of the pile, with Jannik Sinner in second, while Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Novak Djokovic complete the top five.
