The Italian Open has now concluded, with home favorite Jannik Sinner emerging victorious in Rome.

World number one Sinner overcame Casper Ruud in the final of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament, winning 6-4, 6-4.

The Italian has now claimed the last six ATP Masters 1000 titles, as well as completing the Career Golden Masters after winning all nine in his career.

Unsurprisingly, he has retained his number one spot in the ATP rankings, but there have been significant changes elsewhere in the top 10 after the Italian Open.

Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur drop ATP rankings after Italian Open

Sinner is closely followed by Carlos Alcaraz in the ATP rankings, with the Spaniard keeping his place in second despite his absence through injury.

Indeed, the rest of the top six – Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Ben Shelton – are all unchanged.

But Daniil Medvedev has now risen two places to seventh ahead of Roland Garros, with Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur each dropping one spot.

They are now eighth and ninth respectively in the rankings, while Alexander Bublik has climbed one spot to 10th, with Lorenzo Musetti dropping out of the top 10.

Learner Tien and Rafael Jodar in career high rankings after Rome

There are also significant rises outside the ATP top 10, with Learner Tien among the youngsters continuing to make waves in that regard.

The American, who reached the round of 16 at the Italian Open, is now in his career-high rank of 20th.

Aged just 20, Tien is currently the third-highest American in the rankings, following top 10 duo Shelton and Fritz.

Also climbing to his career-high rank is Rafael Jodar, who defeated Tien in Rome before falling in the quarterfinals to Luciano Darderi.

The Spanish 19-year-old has just risen five places to 29th, and is now one place ahead of fellow rising star Joao Fonseca.
