Andy Murray has explained which defeat he’s suffered recently he felt has been the lowest point.

The Great Britain star has been speaking with The Times.

Andy Murray shares lowest point during recent interview

Well, it won’t come as much of a surprise that Murray feels his lowest point has come during 2024.

The 36-year-old has a metal hip, a bad knee and recently Murray was defended by his mum Judy following some insensitive questioning.

Now, he’s been sharing which moment recently he considered as his lowest ebb and it won’t come as a surprise to his loyal followers.

He told The Times: “After the Australian Open was the lowest point. I’ve been enjoying practice, training, trying to improve and those sorts of things. The competition itself I don’t think is ever something that’s extremely enjoyable.

“The outcome and results tend to be if they’re going your way, and then if they don’t it’s not. That’s just how sport is.

“For me, I wouldn’t pretend it is any other way. I enjoy winning a lot more than I do losing, that’s for sure.”

Murray has nothing left to prove

It’s interesting that Murray felt at his lowest after a defeat at the Australian Open and that might be one tournament that he wishes he’d have won.

Murray has lost in four Melbourne finals and that might be the one Grand Slam that he feels as though he should have won.

Still, he’s named his straight-sets defeat to Tomas-Martin Etchverry as his lowest ebb and he will hope to bounce back as the year progresses.

Murray can rest assured, however, that he has nothing left to prove to anyone and he should look back on his career with some serious pride.

The player will hope to claim some more wins before he does call time on his career and the important thing now is for Murray to keep himself as fit as possible.
