Andy Murray has been enjoying the remainder of the Paris Olympics after his doubles run was ended by Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul.
While the first half of the Olympics has been a total whirlwind for Andy Murray, defeat in the doubles quarterfinals has slowed the pace of almost everything.
Before the games, Murray announced that it would be his last professional tennis outing, with the Brit dumped out in the opening round of the doubles.
Clearly with an axe to grind, he and his new partner Dan Evans saved seven match points to set up a tie in the last eight, with Murray’s retirement farewell becoming a bit of a procession.
As the ATP and WTA tours have joined in the mourning of one of tennis’ best ever, Murray has been enjoying the rest of the Olympics, seemingly settling into retirement all rather quickly.

Tennis fans simply can’t believe what Andy Murray is getting up to at the Olympics
With the Brit spotted enjoying a doughnut while watching the gymnastics next to Billie Jean King, Murray fans have been sent into hysterics.
One user said: “He is a former player, no diet anymore!”
Another added: “I bet that’s the first doughnut he’s eaten in about 20 years!”
With many fans equally astonished by the presence of King next to Murray, one said: “Just casually sitting there popping donuts in his gob in front of the great BJK…love it,” with another adding, “Just when you thought you couldn’t love him anymore than you do.”
Having settled into his retirement chair almost immediately, one fan joked: “He’s been retired for like 2 seconds, goals tbh,” with another adding: “He has quickly adjusted to retirement.”
Andy Murray’s dry humor wasn’t always embraced like it is today
Towards the start of his career, the often dour, frizzy-haired Scot was, for many of his home fans, difficult to fall in love with.
With a razor-sharp focus on winning, even after his US Open victory, many British fans were not completely satisfied with Murray’s demeanor.
In many ways, it was his defeat in the 2012 Wimbledon final against Roger Federer that gave Murray the ‘human-ness’ people had been so desperate to see.
A month later, he dispatched Federer in the Olympic singles final, and visibly ecstatic to have secured tennis glory for his nation, it became the turning point.
Since, Murray has been seen to represent everything good and proper about British tennis, with a dry, often sarcastic wit, along with a quirky charm marking him out as an immediate fan favorite.
The love he has been shown by his fellow tour mates, as seen in Rafael Nadal’s emotional retirement message to Murray, while fans have also totally embraced the Brit during his career twilight.
