Coco Gauff is undergoing a coaching change after parting ways with Brad Gilbert after a disappointing run of form.
Gauff has thanked Gilbert for his efforts, with the decision coming not long after her disappointing US Open title defence.
Gilbert has wished Gauff well for the future following the split, with the pair having worked together for 14 months.
Gauff now has the task of finding a new coach for the months and potentially years to come as she looks to get back to her best.
After winning the US Open last year for her maiden Grand Slam title, the American has failed to make it beyond the semi-finals of any major.

Tennis fans tell Coco Gauff who to hire after split with Brad Gilbert
She reached that stage of both the Australian Open and French Open, before suffering fourth round exits at Wimbledon and Flushing Meadows.
Many tennis fans believe there is only one route for Gauff to go down following Gilbert, with one writing on X: “I think Wim Fissette will be a good coach for Coco Gauff. I hope she will hire him. [Pere] Riba is excellent too but he will not leave Qinwen [Zheng]. But I’m happy that Coco and Brad Gilbert split. He is not a full-time coach and more busy with his ESPN world. Two different hats on will not work.”
A second wrote: “I have a feeling Wim Fissette won’t be unemployed for long,” with a third commenting: “It’s clear she’s about to hire Wim Fissette. And I would approve of that partnership.”
A fourth noted: “Wim Fissette is available,” with a fifth saying: “Maybe Naomi‘s [Osaka] old coach Wim Fissette will get the job as Coco’s new coach.”
One fan even suggested Nick Kyrgios should coach Gauff, but another quickly responded: “Wim Fissette would be better.”
Will Coco Gauff hire Wim Fissette as her new coach?
Fissette is certainly the obvious choice for Gauff, with the Belgian having only just split with Naomi Osaka.
She has Patrick Mouratoglou as her new coach, having won the 2020 US Open and 2021 Australian Open under Fissette.
Like Gauff, Osaka has been struggling in recent times, with the two WTA stars having both decided that a major change was needed.
There really is little room for error on the WTA Tour, particularly at Grand Slams, with an experienced coach playing a big role in success.
Gauff shouldn’t rush into the decision given its importance, although the recently free Fissette is unlikely to be available for much longer.
