The excitement for the French Open has increased tenfold this afternoon following the draw being made for the tournament, which gets underway at Roland Garros on Sunday.
Carlos Alcaraz is bidding to win a second crown at this event and will defend the title which he won in some style during 2024.
Hot on his heels chasing a first Roland Garros victory is the world number one Jannik Sinner and after a three-month absence, it remains to be seen how he will shape up at the Grand Slam event.
Other names will come into contention too, with Novak Djokovic chasing a 25th major and the likes of Jack Draper, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Holger Rune all looking to win a maiden major.
Sinner will be the man with the most eyes on him following his time away from the game, however, and it would appear that his draw has caused quite the stir.

It would appear as though Sinner will have to do this the hard way if he’s to get his hands on a maiden French Open title this year.
Sinner has been handed a tricky-looking draw and tennis fans are all in total agreement that the Italian has been somewhat unlucky with the hand he’s been dealt.
Another tennis fan claimed: “Extremely tough draw for Jannik.”
The comments from the fans continued with another fan saying, “That’s the hardest draw of all time.”
Another fan suggested: “Very, very hard draw for Jannik Sinner.”
Finally, someone said: “That’s extremely tough, definitely when you look at the draw for Carlos Alcaraz!”

It certainly feels as though fans are right when it comes to discussing Sinner’s draw at the upcoming Grand Slam.
Sinner has been handed some mouthwatering games should the draw pan out true to form and in the order of the world rankings.

Sinner will know that the world is watching at this tournament, and as a result, he will be keen to put on a show at the French Open and prove that he’s keen to make up for lost time.
