Carlos Alcaraz has emerged at the perfect time in tennis, at the back-end of the big three’s dominance, and also whilst the next generation are failing to make their mark.

He, at 21 years of age, has already surpassed the majority of those on the ATP tour who are his senior, and his current trajectory suggests that he is only set to continue achieving greatness.

The Spaniard only enhanced his already impressive legacy last week, as he added the French Open to his list of notable titles.

In winning this event, he became the youngest ever man to have won a Grand Slam on each of the three surfaces. Even John McEnroe now thinks Alcaraz is better than Roger Federer was at his age.

Naturally, fans are full of praise for him, but it is what he did after the tournament which has truly caught the eye.

Fans react to Carlos Alcaraz’s French Open celebrations

On the court, Alcaraz is most often pictured grinning ear to ear, no matter the score.

Whether he loses a point or thunders home a stunning winner, it is most likely met with that same smile that has instantly endeared him to the tennis community.

He is impossible to dislike, and that has transferred into his celebrations after the Roland Garros triumph.

In fact, many videos have surfaced detailing the various parties he has attended to commemorate his success, and one particular karaoke session has got tennis fans all saying the same thing about him:

One fan would then write: ‘Every single vid of drunk happy carlitos that hits my timeline is better than the previous one pls this is wonderful’.

Another fan laughed at just how relatable the young sensation’s reaction to such success was, as they claimed: Getting messy drunk with friends and not being able to hold ONE note = MOST RELATABLE ( except for the GS winning part )’.

Carlos Alcaraz has earned the right to party

After such a remarkable tournament, in which he overcame great adversity to taste victory, Alcaraz has earned the right to let off some steam.

Especially given the tiny nature of his pre-season, which saw him afforded a tiny amount of downtime before getting right back to action at the Australian Open.

2024 has not gone as smoothly as Alcaraz might have hoped before the new year, but slowly he is turning things around.

This latest title, and the subsequent aftermath, feels like a real release of emotions after a really tough past few months.

Hopefully, this can prove to be the catalyst that allows him to progress further, no longer hampered by his forearm injury either.
