Taylor Fritz will be hoping to hit some form ahead of Wimbledon and after winning at Queen’s today he’s raved about one of his counterparts.
Fritz came through pretty comfortably earlier today, beating Japan’s Taro Daniel 6-3, 6-3 to set up a last-16 game with Milos Raonic.
After winning his match at Queen’s, Fritz was quizzed on his form and some of the other players currently on the tour.
The name on everyone’s lips at the moment is Carlos Alcaraz and it would appear that there is nothing he can’t do.
Fritz has admitted that he’s been really impressed with the Spaniard and there’s one that that he’s done that has left him shellshocked.

At 21-years-old, it’s quite scary to think what the Spanish star could achieve during his career.
If he stays fit he could become one of the all-time greats and he might even emulate his compatriot Rafael Nadal.
Fritz was quizzed on the fact that Alcaraz has already won a Grand Slam on every surface – and it’s left him stunned.
He told Tennis TV: “This early in his career, that’s really crazy. I’m still looking for my first clay court title period. To have slams on all three surfaces is pretty insane.”
Fritz – and other players on the main tour – will be looking to draw inspiration from the brilliance of Alcaraz and he might just take some stopping.
Fritz has to improve his Grand Slam form
For a player boasting as much quality as Fritz, it’s quite disappointing that he’s never gone beyond the quarter-final of a major tournament.
At 26-years-old, time is on his side but he won’t want too many more players to burst onto the scene and overtake him much like Alcaraz has.
Fritz has won seven career titles to date and currently sits at number 12 in the world rankings that were released earlier this month.
The United States star shows flashes of brilliance but in his career to date, there have been some inconsistencies to his game.
At some point he needs to turn a corner and a good run at Queen’s would do him the world of good ahead of Wimbledon.
