Taylor Fritz broke new ground after reaching the third round of the Australian Open.
The American has been one of the most dominant players of the tournament so far, and has been very efficient with his time on court.
The 27-year-old is in hot pursuit of his first Grand Slam and he has produced two ruthless performances at Melbourne Park so far.
Taylor Fritz’s results have been so comprehensive that he has joined a group only occupied by two of the game’s greatest players.

What did Taylor Fritz do at the Australian Open that’s only bettered by Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer?
Fritz began his Australian Open campaign with a 6-2, 6-0, 6-3 over Jenson Brooksby.
He then dropped just three games against Christian Garin in round two to set up an encounter against veteran Gael Monfils.
Fritz has dropped eight games in his first two matches, which is the third lowest total games dropped of all time.
Only the iconic pair of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, who have 42 Grand Slams between them, have managed less.
Fritz is in very impressive company and he will aim to produce another solid performance against Monfils in round three, one of tennis’ most beloved and exciting players.

Taylor Fritz gave an injury update after Australian Open second round
Though Fritz made short work of Garin to reach the third round of the Australian Open, he did suffer a slight injury worry.
The 2024 US Open runner-up told reporters he hyperextended his knee at Melbourne Park, but he does not expect it to bother him moving forward.
“I just hyperextended my knee running for a ball, which could probably be a bigger problem for some other people,” he said.
“But my knees just hyperextend a lot and are very flexible. I kind of just jammed it. It hurt for, like, 30 seconds, like a minute.
“I kind of had to take a second for the pain to go away. Test it, make sure it was fine. Yeah, after I just kind of take a second, I felt fine.”
