Stefanos Tsitsipas becomes first person to play doubles with the big three
Tsitsipas playing doubles with Djokovic at Indian Wells means that he has now played doubles with every member of the big three.
At the 2019 Laver Cup, Tsitsipas played doubles with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal for Team Europe.
Both matches ended in defeats for Tsitsipas, but it has still enabled him to make tennis history.
Who is the greatest male tennis player of all time?
There are no active players who have played doubles with both Federer and Nadal, who are now retired from tennis, meaning that Tsitsipas will be the only player to ever hold this record.
Although he could not win his doubles matches with Nadal and Federer, Tsitsipas did win his first round match at Indian Wells with Djokovic against third seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic.
However, their run came to an end in the second round, where Djokovic was left unhappy with Arthur Rinderknech after a controversial moment in the first set of the match.
| Stefanos Tsitsipas’s Doubles Partner | Event they played together | Result |

| Roger Federer | Laver Cup 2019 | Lost to John Isner and Jack Sock |
| Novak Djokovic | Indian Wells 2026 | Second Round |
After this statistic was confirmed to be true, Tsitsipas took to social media to react to the news of his record.
In a Pokemon reference, Tsitsipas posted a picture of all of his doubles matches with the big three, alongside a caption saying, “Gotta Catch ‘Em All.”
Stefanos Tsitsipas explains what it is like to play doubles with Novak Djokovic
That was not the only social media post Tsitsipas made about his experience of playing doubles with Djokovic.
After their first round win, Tsitsipas compared playing doubles with Djokovic to Albert Einstein.
He wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “Playing doubles with Novak Djokovic is like showing up to the science test with Einstein wired into your brain.”
Although Tsitsipas is now out of the men’s doubles draw with Djokovic, he is still playing in the mixed doubles event, which also features Venus Williams.
Tsitsipas is playing alongside his compatriot Maria Sakkari, and the pair won their first round match against Karen Khachanov and Anna Dalinina.
While Tsitsipas continues to play doubles, Djokovic will now switch his attention back to the singles draw, where he will now play defending Indian Wells champion Jack Draper.
