Well, this run to the final of Indian Wells has once again dispelled the doubters, and he now faces Daniil Medvedev again with the chance of defending his crown against the same opponent as last year.

A repeat of the 2023 Indian Wells final
Alcaraz has every right to feel proud about his victory over the in-form player at the moment, cutting short his hugely impressive win streak which encapsulated title successes at the Australian Open and in Rotterdam.
But, all good things must come to an end, and as is likely to be the way throughout their careers, the success could now be set to swing in favour of the former world number one.
After all, he has history against Medvedev, with Alcaraz having won three of the five meetings between the two.
The youngster’s wins have arguably been the most decisive too, with his wins over the Russian at Wimbledon and Indian Wells last year both resulting in titles.
He will hope to repeat his California success again later today, as he scored a comfortable 6-3, 6-2 win to taste an elite piece of silverware. It kickstarted what would be a huge rest of the year for Alcaraz, and in doing so again it could mark the catalyst that gets his form back on track.
