Sebastian Korda has named the player he believes to be the greatest of all time.

At just 24 years of age the American would have watched the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams dominate the sport as he was growing up.

The quartet share 89 Grand Slam titles between them and they took tennis to new heights with their plethora of accomplishments.

With Federer and Williams retired and Nadal and Djokovic in the latter stages of their playing days, fans and the media alike continue to debate which player is above the rest.

While appearing in a video on the ATP Tour’s YouTube channel, Korda was asked a series of quick-fire questions.

The last question posed to the American was to give the name of who he thinks is the greatest tennis player, to which he replied: “Novak Djokovic.”

The world number 27’s answer comes as no surprise given the number of tennis records Djokovic now holds.

He has the most number of Grand Slam singles titles with Margaret Court at 24 and ended as the year-end number one on eight occasions. The player has also spent the most weeks as the World number one with a staggering record of 428 weeks.

Korda has only had the opportunity to play Djokovic once and it came in the final of the 2023 Adelaide International.

The pair contested a thrilling three-set match, in which Korda took the first set and even held a championship point.

But Djokovic would not be denied and he went on to secure what was his 34th successive win in Australia at the time. This was his first tournament back in the country after he was deported before the 2022 Australian Open.

“It’s been an amazing week and you guys made it even more special,” Djokovic said post-match. “For me to be standing here is a gift, definitely. I gave it all today and throughout the week in order to be able to get my hands on the trophy.”
