The world’s number one women’s golfer, Nelly Korda, has made an intriguing claim about Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
Korda is the sister of tennis professional Sebastian and she has two major titles to her name.
Having grown up with her brother, tennis and golf clearly played a part in her upbringing in Florida.
Now, during a recent interview, she made a claim about Nadal and Federer – two superstars who she has looked up to in the past.

Nelly Korda makes claim about Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal
The 25-year-old is won the Mizuho Americas Open at the weekend and afterwards she was quizzed on potential role models.
Intriguingly, Nadal and Federer came up in conversation – with Sebastian actually playing a practice match against Nadal today.
The world number one golfer made a claim about Federer and Nadal and she’s trying to adopt bits of both to her sport whenever she plays.
Korda told the media: “I think I’ve always had this mentality, I’ve always given it 100%. I’ve looked up to great athletes like (Rafael) Nadal and Roger Federer.
“I hope I have the grace that Federer has and the fight that Nadal has.
“Just having people that I’ve looked up to, have seen and have admired, I hope that’s something I carry on to the golf course.”
Sebastian Korda will hope to emulate his sister
Golf and tennis are two very different sports and it’s interesting to hear that Nelly uses Nadal and Federer to mould her personality.
Now, Sebastian might be wise to look towards his sister as an inspiration to kick on in his tennis career.
At 23-years-old, the American does have some time on his side and he does have a wealth of potential still inside the locker.
Korda has won one career title to date and that came in 2021 when he claimed an ATP 250 Series event in Italy.
The player is currently ranked at number 28 in the world and he will have his sights set on the French Open which gets underway next week.
Korda’s best run in a Grand Slam came in 2023 when he reached the quarter-final of the Australian Open.
In the short-term, if he could reach the second week at Roland Garros this time around that would have to be viewed as a success for the American.
