Aryna Sabalenka enjoyed another stunning season on the WTA Tour, during which she clinched four titles.
Sabalenka won more WTA singles titles than any other player in 2025, although she was closely followed by Iga Swiatek, Elena Rybakina and Jessica Pegula, who each won three.
But Sabalenka is also the year-end number one, with her season including another Grand Slam success at the US Open.
Moreover, she reached the finals of the Australian Open and the French Open, but lost to Madison Keys and Coco Gauff respectively.

Sam Querrey ranks Iga Swiatek’s 2025 season better than Aryna Sabalenka’s
The latest WTA Tour season has now been analysed by former players Steve Johnson and Sam Querrey, who picked their best player on the Nothing Major Show.
Johnson said: “Sabalenka. She was wire to wire. She was number one in the world. She missed out on a couple of finals but she was the talk of every tournament.
“Finals of Australia, finals of the French, semis of Wimbledon, won the US Open, finals of the year-end. So for her to be number one the entire year.
“She probably could have had a couple of other big titles but still an amazing year to be dominating the women’s game.”
How many Grand Slam titles do you think Aryna Sabalenka will win in 2026?
But Querrey commented: “For me, give me Iga Swiatek. We have always talked about how she has dominated on clay, she kind of sucks on the grass, she will never make a run at Wimbledon and then she won Wimbledon this year and completely changed that narrative.
“She won Cinci too, which is historically somewhat of a fast hard court, so I feel like now when you talk about her game you say she can win on any surface, and that started this year after winning Wimbledon.”
Iga Swiatek vs Aryna Sabalenka in 2025
Like Sabalenka, Swiatek enjoyed Grand Slam success in the 2025 season, winning her first Wimbledon title.
She is second in the WTA year-end rankings, and managed to take her career title tally to 25 with her three wins.
| Aryna Sabalenka | Iga Swiatek | |
| 1 | Rank | 2 |
| 4 | Titles | 3 |
| 1 | Grand Slam titles | 1 |
| 63 | Wins | 62 |
| 12 | Losses | 17 |
| $15,008,519 | Prize money | $10,112,532 |
The duo have a thrilling rivalry, which is set to continue into the 2026 season, with Sabalenka having earned the respect of Swiatek.
Intriguingly, a first meeting could arrive at the Australian Open, a Grand Slam Sabalenka has won twice and the only Grand Slam Swiatek has yet to win.
