Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have dominated men’s tennis since the beginning of 2024.
Since the start of the 2024 season, Alcaraz and Sinner have won all five available Grand Slam titles.
Sinner won the Australian Open and US Open in 2024, before adding a third Major title to his collection in Melbourne four months ago.
The Spaniard enjoyed Slam success of his own last year, when Alcaraz won the French Open, before defending his Wimbledon crown.

Both players are being hotly tipped to continue their dominance at the Major tournaments at the French Open next month, an event they will likely enter as the top two seeds.
Ahead of their final tournament before Roland Garros, one ATP Tour legend has shared his thoughts on the world number one and three.
Rafael Nadal says it’s ‘clear’ that Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will ‘mark an era’ of tennis
During an interview with La Gazetta dello Sport, 22-time Major champion Rafael Nadal, spoke highly of Sinner’s improvements in recent years.
“[Jannik] Sinner has already won 3 Slams. In the last two years, he has made an incredible leap in his career, and he has become a very confident and solid player with incredible potential,” said Nadal.

“I think that for a country that loves tennis like Italy, having a player like Jannik was a must.
“The Italian Federation has done a great job, because there is not only Jannik: there is [Lorenzo] Musetti, [Matteo] Berrettini, [Flavio] Cobolli, there is a great generation of young and talented Italian players, something that can be achieved with resources and work.”
| ATP Rank | Name | Age | Points |
| 1 | Jannik Sinner | 23 | 9,730 |
| 9 | Lorenzo Musetti | 23 | 3,550 |
| 30 | Matteo Berrettini | 29 | 1,670 |
| 34 | Flavio Cobolli | 23 | 1,520 |
| 37 | Matteo Arnaldi | 24 | 1,410 |
| 44 | Lorenzo Sonego | 29 | 1,245 |
| 46 | Luciano Darderi | 23 | 1,204 |
Nadal then predicted what Sinner and Alcaraz will be able to achieve over the coming years.
“It seems that Jannik and Carlos [Alcaraz] are at a higher level than the others and that if they are spared from injuries, they will fight for the most important titles for a long time,” he said.
“There will always be new players of a high level.
“Jannik and Carlos have an advantage over the others at the moment; they seem to be at a higher level and have been for the last two years, but we will see; the future is unpredictable.
“The beauty and greatness of the sport is linked to its unpredictability. However, it is clear that these are two special players who will mark an era.”
Alcaraz and Sinner trail only 24-time champion Novak Djokovic in Grand Slam wins among active players, as they continue to lead the way for the next generation of tennis stars.
- Novak Djokovic – 24 Grand Slams
- Carlos Alcaraz – 4 Grand Slams
- Jannik Sinner – 3 Grand Slams
- Stan Wawrinka – 3 Grand Slams
- Daniil Medvedev – 1 Grand Slam
- Marin Cilic – 1 Grand Slam
There is no doubt of the pair’s potential, although questions over which of the duo is the best remain unanswered.

The two youngsters have achieved plenty during their careers to date, but which player has had the most success?

World number one Sinner tops Alcaraz by just under 2,000 points in the official rankings, but has accumulated fewer points than the Spaniard in 2025.
Perhaps their head-to-head record will give a clearer picture as to which player comes out on top.

It’s Alcaraz who leads, having won their previous three encounters to take control of their head-to-head, 6-4.
Alcaraz’s five-set win over Sinner at last year’s French Open saw him move ahead of the Italian, a feat he’d no doubt love to repeat should they face off again at this year’s tournament.
Both players will likely have one eye on Roland Garros but will first focus on the Italian Open, a tournament neither player has won before.
Alcaraz won his opener against Dusan Lajovic, while Sinner gets underway against Mariano Navon on Saturday, May 10.
