Rafael Nadal is set to continue his comeback trail, with his latest tournament having now been announced.
The Spaniard was forced to miss the Australian Open through injury, although he assured fans that his ailment was not related to the hip issues which plagued his 2023 season.
That has clearly proven to be the case, as his return has now been mapped out.

Having already suffered a setback this season in what he hoped would be a fairytale return to action, it will now be about prioritising specific tournaments as he likely enters the twilight of what has been a stunning career.
Naturally, Roland-Garros will be of paramount importance, as the 37-year-old seeks to reaffirm his dominance on clay.
However, to get there he must manage his fitness carefully, and his reported presence at Indian Wells will clearly seek to achieve that.
Journalist Michal Samulski outlined the entrants, as a list that boasts some of men’s tennis’ biggest and brightest stars.
Nadal will have his work cut out if he is to enjoy a deep run at this tournament.

Fans the world over are praying for a safe and successful return to action for the 22-time Grand Slam champion.
Having been starved of his talents for so long by various ailments and injuries, there is a keen anticipation to watch what may well be one of his last few years on tour.
After all, he had admitted contemplating retirement after his persisting hip injury, which he seems to suggest is now behind him. After a performance in Brisbane which stunned Sky Sports’ Miles Maclagan, that much could be true.
Should that be the case, there is every reason to believe that this could be a profitable albeit stuttered year for the Spanish superstar.
After all, Novak Djokovic is already proving how age can be no detractor if the effort is put in. Across his career, there are few who have worked as hard as Nadal.
The expectation is that Indian Wells will represent an ample opportunity to maintain his return to full fitness in time for that aforementioned French Open, of which he historically has claimed 14 titles.
To seal off his time in the sport with another would be wonderfully poetic, but we hope that there will still be plenty more before Nadal does call time on a wonderful career.
