Carlos Alcaraz is edging closer and closer to a return to tennis, which is fantastic news for fans of the sport.
Alcaraz, who last played at the Barcelona Open, has shared various updates about his recovery from injury on social media in recent months.
The right wrist issue has kept him out of action since mid-April, but a positive update about the Spanish superstar has now emerged.

Carlos Alcaraz receives positive injury update for the Cincinnati Open
La Verdad reports that Alcaraz’s team are focusing all of their energy on a return to tennis at the Cincinnati Open.
The ATP 1000 tournament, which the world number three won last year, returns to the calendar in mid-August.
It is scheduled to take place immediately after the ATP Masters 1000 Montreal, which Alcaraz is definitely not playing in.
However, he received very positive impressions for Cincinnati from his visit to Dr. Angel Ruiz-Cotorro in Barcelona last Friday.
The wrist is healthy and completely healed, with his team able to gradually increase the player’s training load.
The next plan is to be medically cleared for Cincinnati this week, with his focus then set to switch to the US Open.
That will conclude the North American hard court swing, as well as bringing an end to the 2026 Grand Slam season.

The pair reunited in the final of the US Open shortly after, where the Spaniard beat the Italian 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.
