A new tennis tournament is set to take centre stage later this year and it’s going to feature six of the world’s top players – including Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz.
It won’t come as a surprise that the newly formed competition will take place in Saudi Arabia and see participants scoop big prize money.
Tennis has gone to a new level in recent years with extra tournaments, a jam-packed schedule and the emergence of some quality young players.
Now, the world’s top players will embark on Saudi Arabia in October for a new tournament that should leave supporters intrigued.

This new tournament will take place between October 16th and 19th, with the 18th serving as a day off for the players.
The day off is pencilled in as ATP rules don’t allow players to play three consecutive days of exhibitions.
That serves to highlight that there will be nothing at stake in the way of rankings – but the financial gain for the players is going to be monumental.
The winner of the tournament will take home $6 million which is more than double the Wimbledon prize money.
Furthermore, each player will be guaranteed a staggering $1.5 million just for taking part in the event.
It represents a clear indication that Saudi Arabia are not going to stop until they are dominating sport and tennis is the latest in a long line of sports to be heading off the Middle East for this latest innovation.
Who will take part in new Saudi Arabia tennis tournament
The tournament will be called the Six Kings Slam and will feature six top players, with Rafael Nadal, Djokovic and Alcaraz topping the bill.
Those three will be joined by Jannik Sinner, Daniil Medvedev and Holger Rune.
At this stage it’s not clear what the format of the tournament will be although given that it’s only running for three days, two groups of three perhaps seem likely.
With only the top players in the world taking part, this tournament does look to be a classic in waiting and it will be fascinating to see how it unfolds.
