Novak Djokovic has certainly made a wise decision regarding his latest practice partner for the US Open.
Djokovic has complained about the US Open crowd, which will undoubtedly play a key role at the fourth and final Grand Slam.
American players are in fine form ahead of the US Open, with Frances Tiafoe and Taylor Fritz among the home favourites.
But Djokovic will also be in contention to lift the prestigious trophy, having won it last year and indeed having just won an Olympic gold medal.
He added the Paris prize to his lengthy honours list, having clinched 24 Grand Slam titles throughout his phenomenal career.

No other male player has more such titles, with four of Djokovic’s 24 Grand Slam victories coming at the US Open.
He is now practicing with a previous champion at New York’s Flushing Meadows in preparation for his title pursuit.
As per the US Open on X, Djokovic and 2009 US Open winner Juan Martin del Potro will practice inside Arthur Ashe before the tournament gets underway.
The Argentinian, who once reached world number three, thanked the US Open and Djokovic for the opportunity, writing on X: “This will be very special.”
Can Novak Djokovic win the US Open?
It was only earlier this summer that Djovokic underwent knee surgery after withdrawing from the French Open.
But he miraculously recovered in rapid time to firstly reach the Wimbledon final, where he lost to Carlos Alcaraz, and secondly win Olympic gold.
Having won essentially everything there is to win in the sport, the gold medal was on his bucket list, which he can now tick off.
But Djokovic simply won’t stop there, with the Serbian undoubtedly eyeing a strong finish to his 2024 Grand Slam season.
It began with a semi-final finish at the Australian Open, followed by quarter-final and runner-up finishes at Roland Garros and the All England Club respectively.
