Novak Djokovic is still fighting tooth and nail to try and be fit for the 2024 instalment of Wimbledon that begins on Monday.
The draw will take place on Friday morning at 10am and Djokovic is facing a big decision.
The 37-year-old picked up an injury to his meniscus ligament in his knee at Roland Garros and he was forced to withdraw at the quarter-final stage.
Now, he is back hitting balls on the practice court and he could well be fit enough to take his place at a tournament he’s won seven times.
Last night, there was a mini update of sorts from Djokovic who posted something on social media about his progress.

Novak Djokovic posts fitness update on social media
The Serbian player took in some football last night as was spotted watching his country play Denmark at Euro 2024 as they crashed out of the competition.
Djokovic was practising at Wimbledon in the daytime, however, and he’s now taken to social media to update his anxious supporters.
He posted on X: “That time of the year. Good to be back. Giving my best to be ready for #wimbledon.”
Djokovic will hope to be fit and ready to go when the time comes for Wimbledon to start – but it would take a superhuman effort.
Greg Rusedski had his fair share of injuries during his career and he doesn’t think that Djokovic will make SW19 this year.
Wimbledon wouldn’t quite be the same without Novak Djokovic
Much like Roger Federer used to dominate on grass, in recent years at Wimbledon it’s been all Djokovic.
Now, he’s facing a race against time to be ready and it will be interesting to hear how his practice goes today just two days out from the draw.
Djokovic will be desperate to play at a tournament that he’s done so well at over the years.
At 37, there might not be too many more chances for him to get the two crowns he craves to stand alone on nine titles and beat the total that Federer claimed.
Wimbledon promises to be an exciting tournament regardless but it would lose a little bit of its sparkle if one of the most successful players isn’t deemed fit enough to play.
