Novak Djokovic is in cruise control at Wimbledon and is through to the fourth round for the 17th time in his career.
Djokovic picked up his 100th win at the All England Club with his straight-sets victory over Serbian compatriot Miomir Kecmanovic.
He became just the third player in history to tally a century of triumphs in SW19, following Roger Federer and Martina Navratilova.
At the tournament so far, Djokovic has dropped just one set across the three matches he has played.
In his next clash, the seven-time Wimbledon champion will face Alex de Minaur, whom he gave his verdict on following his win over Kecmanovic.

Novak Djokovic delivers his verdict on Alex de Minaur before facing him at Wimbledon
He said of the Australian in his post-match press conference: “Yeah, I mean, Alex has also improved his game tremendously, I think, the last couple of years. He’s playing the tennis of his life.
“He’s definitely knocking on the door of the finals, final stages of Grand Slams. He’s gotten to the quarters several times, and yeah, last year he had to pull out, unfortunately, because of his injury, but this year, again, he’s there, he hasn’t dropped a set. He’s playing well.
“You know, you’re not super excited to play Alex De Minaur on grass, that’s for sure, because he’s so quick and he’s a complete player all round, and he has gained pace on his serve as well.
“He hits his spots very well, so just a tough, very tough challenge, so I’m looking forward to it, you know.

“I think it’s going to be a great test to see where my game is at against a top player like Alex.
“Yeah, look, obviously, he’s a different player nowadays than what he was two years ago, not that he was not good two years ago, but I think just today he’s just the last 12 months, he’s been…
“He’s been very strong and consistent and, you know, fit as well, very fit, physically, he’s gotten stronger.
“Speed was never an issue. We know that, but just the overall great competitor, as I said, you know, arguably playing his best tennis on grass, you know, because the ball bounces low, he stays low, he plays quite flat and loves to play fast, loves to absorb the pace.
“Just a great player, and I think it’s going to be a good match.”
Novak Djokovic’s head-to-head record with Alex de Minaur
Djokovic and de Minaur have played three times in their career so far, and were scheduled to play a fourth in the 2024 Wimbledon quarter-final, but the world number 11 had to withdraw due to injury.
Their first match came in the fourth round of the Australian Open in 2023, where, en route to his 22nd Grand Slam title, the Serb defeated his opponent in straight sets.
| Match | Winner | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 Monte-Carlo Masters Quarter-Finals | Novak Djokovic | 7-5, 6-4 |
| 2024 United Cup Quarter-Final | Alex de Minaur | 6-4, 6-4 |
| 2023 Australian Open Fourth Round | Novak Djokovic | 6-2, 6-1, 6-2 |
De Minaur then opened his account in the rivalry at the United Cup in 2024, beating Djokovic with a straight-sets victory of his own.
The two then faced off on clay for the first time at the Monte-Carlo Masters 1000 event later that season, and the 38-year-old regained his lead in the head-to-head.
