The Australian Open has now concluded, with ATP number one Carlos Alcaraz lifting the trophy in Melbourne.

Alcaraz overcame Novak Djokovic in the final of the hard-court Grand Slam, where the Spaniard was the top seed.

The 22-year-old has now won all four Grand Slam titles following his Australian Open success at Melbourne Park, with Rod Laver Arena having hosted the final.

Alcaraz received high praise from Djokovic after winning their clash, which has cemented his status as the current best player in the world.

Novak Djokovic and Taylor Fritz climb ATP rankings after the Australian Open

Alcaraz remains in top spot in the ATP rankings following the conclusion of the Australian Open, with his fierce rival Jannik Sinner staying in second place.

But there is a big change in the world number three spot, which is now occupied by 24-time Grand Slam champion Djokovic.

The Serbian has climbed one spot after his runner-up finish, while Alexander Zverev has dropped one spot to fourth.

There is no change in fifth and sixth places, with Lorenzo Musetti and Alex de Minaur respectively staying put.

But American Taylor Fritz has climbed two spots to seventh place, with his compatriot Ben Shelton dropping two spots to ninth.

Felix Auger-Aliassime is unchanged between the duo in eighth, while Alexander Bublik has held onto his world number 10 rank.

The ATP 11-20 rankings after the Australian Open

There are also big changes regarding positions 11-20, which currently comprises several former top five players.

Daniil Medvedev is into 11th after his fourth round run at the Australian Open, where he was defeated by Learner Tien once more.

Like Medvedev, Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev and Jakub Mensik are all up one place each, while Francisco Cerundolo and Flavio Cobolli are up two.

And unsurprisingly, injured ATP stars Jack Draper and Holger Rune have also fallen down the rankings, having not played in Melbourne.

But there is good news for American aces Tien and Frances Tiafoe, who have enjoyed significant rises to 24th and 30th places respectively.

Eliot Spizzirri, another American, has also made significant strides, rising 14 places to 71st after his Australian Open dream was ended by Sinner in round three.
