Nick Kyrgios faced each member of the so-called ‘big three’: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
The Australian has a 2-1 winning record against Djokovic, having triumphed in both of their first two meetings on the tour.
Versus Nadal, Kyrgios has three victories, including their very first meeting at the 2014 Wimbledon championships.

With Federer, however, he only ever managed to secure one win, with the Swiss leading the head-to-head 6-1.

Nick Kyrgios’ struggles against Roger Federer on the ATP Tour
Asked on his Instagram story who out of the big three was the toughest to beat, Kyrgios responded with a picture of him next to Federer.
Kyrgios emerged victorious in his first-ever meeting with Federer, which was played at the Madrid Open back in 2015.
He fought back from a set down on the clay courts of the Spanish capital to clinch the win in what was a stunning match, 6-7, 7-6, 7-6.
They did not clash again until the Miami Open in 2017, where Federer earned his revenge by earning a three-set win of his own against Kyrgios.
Serena Williams picked Roger Federer as the G.O.A.T.
After that, Federer remained undefeated against Kyrgios, beating him three times at the Laver Cup, once on grass at the Stuttgart Open, and once at a Grand Slam: the 2018 US Open.

What Nick Kyrgios once said about playing against Roger Federer
As per TNT Sports in 2024, Kyrgios discussed his meetings with each member of the big three.
He said: “Rafa has that big game style and that physicality, big leftie, you know his patterns but you can’t do anything about it.
“And Roger Federer could make you feel so bad on the court, shrinking the court, taking time away from you, you never feel settled.
“At least with Novak, you know you’re going to have those exchanges, those long gruelling exchanges. You know you’re going to get warm, know you’re going to get into it.
“Then there’s the problem of trying to work out how to beat him, he’s like a ping-pong machine.”
Kyrgios lost his most recent meeting with Djokovic: the 2022 Wimbledon final.
