Nick Kyrgios has won seven tour-level titles over the course of his career, but is yet to win a Grand Slam.
Kyrgios recently confirmed he’ll play doubles at Roland Garros this year, and has hinted at a return to French Open singles.
It will be his first appearance at the tournament in eight years, with his last pursuit of the major in Paris ending in the second round.
Though a much-anticipated return to Stade Roland Garros is on the horizon for the Australian, his best chance at a Grand Slam title remains on his preferred surface of grass, having come agonizingly close three years ago.
Kyrgios lost to Novak Djokovic in the 2022 Wimbledon final over four sets, following a stellar run at the Championships.
He recently spoke on the defeat and discussed his real motivation behind the deep run at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

Nick Kyrgios says he wanted to win Wimbledon in 2022 to ‘shut people up’
Speaking on the Changover Podcast, Kyrgios said: “Wimbledon was a bit better, I barely went out, I was focusing, I was concentrating, you know I went out a couple of times, I was at the pub a bit but nothing crazy.”
“I had a goal in my mind, I really wanted to win that tournament. I feel like when you win a Grand Slam, people just leave you alone. That was my motivation, I just wanted people to shut up and let me like, live.”
“Honestly I couldn’t give a ****, i just wanted to win it and then the relief of winning it, people not being able to say anything was my motivation.”
He added: “But obviously Novak is pretty good, and he played well. I still think I could’ve won that.”
Nick Kyrgios’ route to the Wimbledon 2022 final
Kyrgios began his run against Paul Jubb in the first round, where he was taken to a fifth set by the Briton, but ultimately emerged victorious.
After a straight-sets win against Filip Krajinovic, his next opponent came in the form of fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, whom he defeated after going a set down.
Kyrgios had another five-set marathon in the Round of 16 against Brandon Nakashima, but clinched the victory over the American with a comfortable final set.
Following a statement win over Cristian Garin in the quarter-final, he was scheduled to play Rafael Nadal in the final four, but the Spaniard withdrew due to an abdominal injury, confirming Kyrgios’ place in the Wimbledon final.
