Nick Kyrgios is slowly but surely making his way back to competitive action, having been struggling with injuries for some time.

Gael Monfils says Nick Kyrgios can win a Grand Slam, although 2025 Australian Open success may just be too big a stretch at this moment in time.

Kyrgios will return to his home Grand Slam next month, having last played a competitive match at the 2023 Stuttgart Open.

And his return is certain to bring plenty of excitement and intrigue, not least because of his many interesting comments during his media work over his injury period.

Kyrgios called Novak Djokovic the best player ever during his commentary work at the 2024 Australian Open, but he had previously said Andy Murray was better than the Serbian.

It remains to be seen what the exciting news regarding Djokovic will be, with the Serbian potentially linking up with the Australian in the near future.

That link-up could come on or off the court, although the duo should both be preoccupied with their individual goals at this moment in time.

They could, however, come face to face as soon as the end of this month, with both players signed up for the Brisbane International.
