Nick Kyrgios has told Jannik Sinner that he’d love for the new Australian Open champion to become his coach!
His comments were made on Eurosport after yesterday’s final.

What Nick Kyrgios said to Jannik Sinner after Australian Open win
Sinner backed up his impressive win over Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals by getting his hands on the trophy.
The Italian player defeated Daniel Medvedev in five sets after losing the first two to the Russian star.
Sinner prevailed 3-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 to win a Grand Slam event for the very first time.
After the match, Kyrgios made the remarkable – and slightly jovial – claim that he’d like Sinner to coach him.
He said on Eurosport: “Jannik, well done, Grand Slam champion, my message to you is how much can I pay you to be my coach so I can win a Grand Slam?”
Sinner responded in classy fashion and suggested that he hoped to see Kyrgios back playing tennis soon.
He responded: “OK, for you, maybe I do it for free. What is for sure is that everybody is missing you.
“You are this kind of player you don’t see around too often so your gamestyle, the way how you behave on the court, you’re different and these kinds of players we need.”
Kyrgios is good for the game and hopefully he can be back soon
Love him, or hate him, Sinner is right when he says that tennis misses Kyrgios and hopefully he can get back soon.
Since reaching the Wimbledon final in 2022 Kyrgios has kind of slipped off the radar and the Australian is sorely missed on court.
The talented player was calling the shots from the commentary box at the Australian Open but his best qualities are with a racquet in his possession.
It’s not clear at this stage when Kyrgios will be back in action but seeing Sinner win his first Grand Slam has clearly whet his appetite for one of his own.
