Naomi Osaka has achieved some things most players could only dream of.

She has four Grand Slam titles and is one of 29 players to reach the summit of the WTA Tour and become the World number one.

At her best Naomi Osaka possesses some of the most devastating groundstrokes that has overwhelmed many of her opponents.

She has already achieved plenty in the game, but there is still much more that the 27-year-old wants to accomplish.

What does Naomi Osaka still want to accomplish in tennis?

Osaka entered a different chapter of a career following her return to tennis in 2024 after giving birth to her daughter Shai.

Following difficulties with the stresses of the game and needing to prioritise her mental health, Osaka seems to be enjoying her tennis again.

Despite winning some of the game’s biggest titles, the former World number one does not want to rest on her laurels and has ambition to win the French Open and Wimbledon, to add to her Australian Open and US Open titles.

“I feel like I have a lot of goals going forward,” the four-time major winner told CNN World Sport.

“For as long as I can play I really want to win Wimbledon and Roland Garros and get a career Grand Slam. It would mean a lot and I just think it would look really pretty in my office.”

When asked if she would love to win an Olympic gold medal, Osaka added: “An Olympic gold would also be very spectacular and I hope I can play in the next Olympics.”

Naomi Osaka assesses her current form and fitness

During the same interview with CNN World Sport, Osaka provided a fitness update.

The Japanese player has not competed since the Australian Open, where Osaka withdrew from her third round match against Belinda Bencic.

This was due to injury, and a back issue also prevented Osaka from continuing against Clara Tauson in the ASB Classic final.

Despite the fitness setbacks Osaka says she is now healthy and has been practicing well, and was happy with her form before she went down injured.

“I’m feeling really good, I’ve been practicing every day so I’m just really excited to be back on the court,” Osaka said. “I think I’m playing really well.

“Even from the end of last year and I got injured then too, I’ve beaten some really good players so I hope that I can continue that trend.”
