The Monte Carlo Masters are still making alterations to the tournament even as it approaches its conclusion.
Carlos Alcaraz beat Arthur Fils to reach his first ever semi-final at the Monte Carlo Masters, but he certainly did not have it all his own way.
The Spaniard will now play the in-form Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, who he revealed has even invited him to his wedding.
While the other semi-final will include Alex de Minaur, who thrashed Grigor Dimitrov, and Lorenzo Musetti.
Musetti made history of his own, as he appears to be refinding form after a difficult start to the 2025 season.
All four of these players are now bidding to reach the Monte Carlo Masters final that has now been altered.

Monte Carlo Masters praised for making change to the final
Ahead of forecasted rain on Sunday April 13 when the final was supposed to take place, the Monte Carlo Masters have decided to make some amendments to the schedule.
The final was originally supposed to take place at 3pm local time, but due to the rain has now been brought forward to 12pm.
This is something that the tournament have received credit for, with fans praising the Monte Carlo Masters for their proactive decision.
Highlighted in many of these comments was how the Miami Open were unable to do the same, and subsequently saw the ‘weird’ final between Novak Djokovic and Jakub Mensik not get underway until 8:45pm.
One person on X (formerly known as Twitter) pointed out how this was beneficial for many parties, “Great job from Monte-Carlo taking matters into their own hands & making a decision like this 2 days ahead of time based on weather forecast.
“Maybe now other 1000s will follow suit. Better for the players, fans, media, staff and everyone involved!”
Another person followed with a similar sentiment, “Will say I’m glad with the proactive method of changing start times based on weather forecasts. Miami could’ve taken a page out of this book. In an ever more volatile weather climate, dynamic thinking is what’s needed for tennis.”
An additional social media user added, “Finally a tournament that can make some wise decisions days ahead instead of being surprised on the day of like we are living in the stone age. Even then people could read the weather and plan.”
One other person said,, “See, it’s not that hard! Other tournaments please note!”
With this change, the doubles final has now been scheduled after the singles on Sunday.
Potential rankings of the final four Monte Carlo Masters semi-finalists
With the Monte Carlo Masters being one of the biggest tournaments on the ATP calendar, there are big ranking points to play for the final four.
Although Jannik Sinner is secure as world number one, Alcaraz could overtake Alexander Zverev in second spot if he wins the title.
Davidovich-Fokina, who is a former Monte Carlo Masters finalist, has made the biggest jump so far and is confirmed to return back to the top 30 in the ATP rankings.

The Spaniard could take that a step further and break the top 20, but to do so he would have to do something he has never done before and win an ATP title.
Not only is the semi-final between De Minaur and Musetti a battle to reach the Monte Carlo Masters final, but it is also a battle for ranking points.
If Musetti was to win the title then he would reach a career-high ranking and overtake De Minaur, who himself could break the top five for the first time at the end of the week.
| Monte Carlo Masters Semi-finalist | Current Ranking | Semi-final | Final | Title |
| Carlos Alcaraz | 3 | 3 | 3 | 2 |
| Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina | 42 | 30 | 25 | 20 |
| Alex de Minaur | 10 | 7/8 | 7 | 5 |
