Mirra Andreeva claimed the fifth title of her career at the Linz Open after beating Anastasia Potapova in the final.
Andreeva came back from a set down to defeat Potapova, triumphing in three sets over the Austrian, 1-6, 6-4, 6-3.
The Russian will move up the rankings from 10th to ninth with the victory at the WTA 500 tournament, surpassing fellow teenage star Victoria Mboko.

Following her win, Andreeva sent a heartfelt message to Potapova, who failed to secure the trophy in front of a home crowd.

During her speech in the award ceremony, Andreeva said: “First of all I want to say congrats to Nastia for such an amazing week.
“You’re an amazing competitor. You have been playing amazing today. You really pushed me to my limits.
“I was struggling a lot on how to find a solution to play against you today. You’re an amazing fighter and an even better person.

“I hope you can achieve everything you want in your career, and I wish you the best of luck for that.”
Potapova, currently ranked 97th in the world, has reached a career-high of 21st, and has three WTA titles to her name.

Addressing Andreeva in her runner-up speech, Potapova said: “I’m a little bit speechless right now, but I’ll try.
“First of all I want to say good job to Mirra. You’re an unbelievable player. You’re so young. You have so many years ahead of you.
“I just wish you to complete all your dreams because you really deserve it. Congrats.
“I wanna say thanks to my team. We had some tough months before. I know how we work hard for me to stand here, to hold this unbelievable trophy now.
“I’m actually shaking guys I’m so sorry. I really wanna say thanks. You helped me be here. You help me be the best version of myself. Thank you very much.”
Andreeva has now won in each of the last four finals she has featured in, two of which have come in 2026.
