Mirra Andreeva has claimed her 100th career win as she started her Indian Wells title defence in ruthless fashion.
Andreeva beat Solana Sierra 6-0, 6-0 in the second round of the WTA 1000 tournament, having received a bye in round one.
The Russian star needed just 50 minutes to defeat the Argentine and set up a round of 32 meeting with Katerina Siniakova at Indian Wells.

Mirra Andreeva claims 100th WTA win at Indian Wells
Andreeva clinched her 100th win at the age of 18 years, 10 months and seven days, falling just short of Coco Gauff.
The American was 18 years, 10 months and five days old when she hit the milestone at the 2023 Australian Open, defeating Emma Raducanu in round two.
However, Andreeva and Gauff represent the two youngest women to hit 100 career wins since the start of 2010.
And remarkably for the Russian, a total of 72 of her 100 wins have come at either Grand Slams or WTA 1000 tournaments.

How did Mirra Andreeva win Indian Wells in 2025?
Despite her youth, Andreeva is already a four-time champion on the WTA Tour, and has reached as high as fifth in the world rankings.
Her highlight arrived last year with back-to-back WTA 1000 titles at Dubai and Indian Wells, with the 17-year-old having become the youngest WTA 1000 champion since the tournament tier began in 2009.
She’s now out to defend that 2025 Indian Wells title this year as the eighth seed, having been the ninth seed back then.
Andreeva started out her stunning run against Varvara Gracheva in round two, and ended it with a comeback final win over Aryna Sabalenka.

Mirra Andreeva references Novak Djokovic after career milestone
The milestone came as a real surprise to Andreeva, who was asked after beating Sierra if she was aware of reaching 100 wins.
She replied: “Honestly, no, but I always see posts on Instagram, people post things like Novak [Djokovic] got his 500th win on tour, and I was like, ‘I wonder when I’m going to get at least to 50!’
“Now you’re telling me I’m getting my 100th win. It’s just amazing and super special to hear, and I hope I’m going to keep going.”
It really is an amazing achievement from Andreeva, who now boasts a 100-45 record for her fantastic career.
That was helped by a superb run in Adelaide earlier this year, where she defeated Victoria Mboko to lift the trophy.
