More history beckons for Mirra Andreeva when she competes for the Dubai Tennis Championships title.
The teenager has taken the tour by storm over the past year and she has produced some of the best tennis of her career at the WTA 1000 event.
Mirra Andreeva has beaten three Grand Slam champions and two top 10 players on the way to reaching Saturday’s championship match in Dubai.
In the final the 17-year-old will face Denmark’s Clara Tauson, who has also been having a fantastic season.

Andreeva defeated Iga Swiatek to reach the Dubai Tennis Championships semi-finals, where she played Elena Rybakina.
The World number 14 made a stronger start and took the opening set, before Rybakina produced a solid serving display which helped her level the match at a set apiece.
The 2022 Wimbledon champion then looked to be heading for victory when she was up 3-1 in the decider, but Andreeva would not be denied.
She won the next five games to seal a famous 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 victory and become the youngest player to reach a WTA 1000 final.
Andreeva is also the youngest player to defeat three grand Slam champions in the same tournament since her compatriot Maria Sharapova in 2004, when she was 17.

Andreeva is now just one win away from securing the biggest title of her career so far.
Whether she wins or loses, she will move up the WTA Tour rankings, but how high she moves will depend on the result.
If Andreeva is beaten by Tauson in their first ever meeting, she will ascend to number 11 in the world rankings.
But she emerges victorious, Andreeva will enter the top 10 for the first time in her career. She will be the youngest player to do so since Nicole Vaidisova in 2007.
