Jack Draper’s Wimbledon campaign has come to an abrupt end after bowing out in the second round to Marin Cilic.

Cilic defeated Draper 6-4, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 to book his place in the third round at the All England Club for the first time since 2021.

The Croatian, who made the final at Wimbledon in 2017, put on an impressive display of serving, firing 16 aces against the Briton.

Marin Cilic becomes third-oldest player to achieve impressive feat

With his victory over the fourth seed, Cilic has become the third-oldest player to defeat a top-five opponent at Wimbledon.

At 36 years and 275 days old, he trails only Roger Federer and Ken Rosewall in the all-time list.

Cilic has struggled with injuries in recent years and has only featured in three Grand Slam events since 2022.

He won the US Open in 2014 and has finished as the runner-up at two majors, the most recent of which was the Australian Open in 2018.
