For Andy Murray, his whole preparation this year was built around a last hurrah at Wimbledon – the venue where he’s been crowned champion on two occasions.
Now, after suffering a back problem at Queen’s last week, his dream of bowing out at Wimbledon – or the Olympics – hangs in tatters.
Murray was forced to have a procedure after a scan revealed that he had a spinal cyst that required some attention.
The 37-year-old withdrew from his match at Queen’s against Jordan Thompson when he was trailing 4-1 in the first set.
Yesterday, some reports claimed that Murray would be out of Wimbledon and the Olympics might even be a struggle.
Now, those reports seem wide of the mark and ultimately Murray’s mum, Judy has reacted to the reports that are doing the rounds.

What Judy Murray has said about Andy Murray’s injury details
Well, it would appear as though Murray’s mum isn’t impressed and has now taken to social media.
She said earlier today: “When you’re private medical details are leaked to the media by someone you thought you could trust. So disappointing.
“And – FYI – not ruled out yet.”
Murray would need to make a decision likely by Thursday night, with the draw to take place at 10am on Friday morning.
If he does make it, Murray will get one final chance to take the plaudits of the Wimbledon faithful as he prepares to say goodbye to tennis.
The main thing is Murray’s health and hopefully the procedure went well and he can get back to playing again soon.
Andy Murray deserves one final crack at Wimbledon
Make no bones about it, Murray won’t be lifting a Grand Slam title aloft again during his career.
With a metal hip and plenty of other niggling injuries that have plagued him, it’s all about enjoyment and pride these days.
However, Murray will go down as one of the greatest British sportsmen of all time when he does call it quits.
He defied the odds to win three Grand Slam titles and in another era, he would likely have won plenty more major crowns.
Clearly, the Murray family aren’t impressed that this detail has been leaked and it’s quite exciting that he might still play at Wimbledon.
Now, his supporters will wait and see what the final decision is and hopefully, he can step out on Centre Court one final time next week.
That’s the very least Murray deserves and his team will be doing their utmost to make it possible.
