John McEnroe is in Berlin for the 2024 Laver Cup, with the American set to captain Team World for the very last time.
McEnroe has been an ever-present at the Laver Cup, with the former world number one now taking part in the event for the seventh time.
During that spell, he has two wins and four defeats to his name, with Team Europe captain Bjorn Borg boasting the bragging rights.
Borg is also stepping down from his captaincy, right after the two legends go head-to-head for glory in Germany.
McEnroe was heavily praised by Taylor Fritz ahead of the Laver Cup, with the American duo now hoping to work well together to clinch a third consecutive Team World win.

John McEnroe makes Andre Agassi prediction as Team World captain at the Laver Cup
It is indeed another American icon in Andre Agassi who will take over from McEnroe in the Team World hot seat, with the 2025 Laver Cup set for San Francisco.
The latter has now shared his thoughts on how the former will handle the role going forward, with McEnroe telling the Laver Cup website: “Andre is going to do a great job.
“I played him when he was 16 or 17, he had that personality, and you just knew something big was going to happen. He has that special quality that people love.
“He’s probably more analytic-driven than I am… players are going to love him as well. It’s going to be fun to watch from more of a distance the next couple of years.”
Can John McEnroe go out on a high at the Laver Cup?
McEnroe will be relying heavily on the likes of compatriots Fritz, Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe this week, especially given the shape of American men’s tennis.
But also looking to impress their captain in the German capital are South American duo Francisco Cerundolo and Alejandro Tabilo and Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis.
Standing in their way, however, are Borg and several top-10 players, including world numbers two and three Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz respectively.
Alcaraz is excited for the Laver Cup, with the Spaniard likely to dominate the headlines despite a recent dip in form.
Borg can also look to the likes of Daniil Medvedev and Casper Ruud for inspiration, in what is likely to be a very exciting competition.
