Jessica Pegula gave Mirra Andreeva some high praise as the youngster continues to make waves on the WTA Tour.
At the age of just 17, Andreeva has already reached the top 10 and has a WTA 1000 title to her name.
The Russian has some significant weaponry on court and plays with no fear as she takes on the world’s best, some of whom she has already beaten.
Now Mirra Andreeva is aiming to cement a place in the top 10 and make some progress at Grand Slams, and a title at the highest level may not be too far away.

What does Jessica Pegula expect from Mirra Andreeva over the next 10 years?
Following her bright start to life on the WTA Tour, the sky is the limit for Andreeva.
She is aiming to win back-to-back WTA 1000 events after winning in Dubai and competing in the Indian Wells quarter-finals.
Andreeva will take on Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina, who came from a set down to Jessica Pegula in the previous round.
Speaking of Pegula, she issued a positive assessment of Andreeva’s game and expects her to be one of the game’s top players for the next decade.
“It’s incredible what she’s been able to do at such a young age. I think she’s gonna win a lot of tournaments and a lot of matches for the next ten years,” Pegula said. “She’s fairly tall but moves really well. I think she has a really good serve for someone at such a young age.
“I think her court sense, ability to compete. A lot of things. A lot of things you can’t teach are already really strong and she’s only going to get better.”

Mirra Andreeva ponders new goals after reaching top 10
Entering 2025, Andreeva set her sights on being in the WTA’s top 10 at the end of the year.
The Russian achieved that goal as early as February, as she joined the elite group after winning the WTA 1000 title in Dubai.
Now the teenager has achieved her main goal this season, Andreeva will set her sights even higher as she thinks about new goals to set.
“When I realized I won [in Dubai], I was like, ‘Hell yeah.’ When I was doing the press conference [after winning] and they told me I was already in the top 10, I’m like, ‘Really?” she said.
“Because that had been a goal for this year but I didn’t think I would reach it until October or November, end of the year, but it was February and I’m already in the top 10. I’m like, ‘Well, I guess I have to think of some new goals now.'”
