Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz look set to dominate men’s tennis for years to come, having now split the last seven Grand Slam titles between them.
Sinner clinched his fourth major crown after winning Wimbledon for the first time, defeating Alcaraz in four sets on Centre Court in the final.
The world number one is now just a French Open title away from becoming the sixth man in the Open Era to complete the Career Grand Slam.
Alcaraz and Sinner produced yet another incredible match together, with the Italian finally snapping the Spaniard’s 24-match winning streak.
A day after their bout, the champion took to social media to send a thank-you message to the runner-up.

Sinner said on Instagram: “Another great fight @carlitosalcarazz respect, amigo.
“These are the battles we live for. Until next time. Thank you.”
Alcaraz had previously posted himself, saying: “Congratulations @janniksin for your first Wimbledon!
“Very well deserved! Thank you, everyone, for your support! I feel at home, and it’s really special to play here! See you all next year!”
The big titles chase between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz
Sinner now trails Alcaraz in Grand Slam titles by just one, and could match him by defending his US Open crown later this summer.
The world number two is yet to win the year-end trophy at the ATP Finals, which his Wimbledon conqueror managed in 2024.

In terms of Masters 1000 titles, Alcaraz leads the way with seven to his name, while Sinner has four, the most recent of which came in Shanghai last year.
