Jannik Sinner has already been in touch with Frances Tiafoe after beating him in the Cincinnati Open final.
Sinner had an injury worry at the Cincinnati Open, but pushed through to win his fifth title of his superb season.
Tiafoe said Sinner was favourite to win the final, with the latter having led the former by three wins to one in their head-to-head before their Cincinnati Open clash.
Sinner has now taken the record to four wins to one after the Italian ace defeated the American star 7-6(7-4), 6-2.
The world number one now boasts a fantastic record of 48 wins and five losses in 2024 as the US Open approaches.

Frances Tiafoe hits form ahead of the US Open
Tiafoe has certainly had his struggles lately, but the 26-year-old has hit form at the right time ahead of the final Grand Slam of 2024.
The American will be willed on by the US Open crowd when the main draw gets going, with Tiafoe one of many US stars looking to shine on the big stage.
And he should be full of confidence heading to New York, having beaten fellow stars Lorenzo Musetti, Hubert Hurkacz and Holger Rune in Cincinnati.
He will be keen to follow in the footsteps of compatriot Coco Gauff, who stormed her way to the US Open title last year.
Sinner meanwhile will, however, be hard to beat in Queens given his form going into the tournament and indeed in 2024 overall.
