Many players over the years from different generations have had the opportunity to play at least one of Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer or Novak Djokovic.
Jannik Sinner had the opportunity to play against Nadal and Djokovic, and of course he watched all three at their peak before he came on tour.
During an interview with Italian outlet TG1, Sinner, 23, was asked to rank the trio, and he answered: “I have been fortunate to know two a little better and one a little less well in Roger.
“Unfortunately when I got to play ATP I did not see him often because he got injured sometimes, then he stopped, so we had little contact,” the three-time Grand Slam champion said.
“I really like Rafa because he is a fighter, someone who keeps around him in a very, very beautiful, balanced way. If we look at the numbers, the best is Nole.
“But we have to be happy to live in this moment here, because what the three of them have shown together for the last 15-20 years is crazy.”
Stan Wawrinka also names Novak Djokovic as the best player of all time
Another player who recently named who they think is the greatest player of all time is Stan Wawrinka.
The three-time Grand Slam champion battled Djokovic, Nadal and Federer at the peak of their careers and was consistently one of their toughest challengers.
Some of Wawrinka’s biggest victories came against the ‘Big 3’, and he knows better than most how difficult it is to play against them.
But when it came to selecting the number one player, Wawrinka told Eurosport France that he ranks Djokovic as the greatest player, with Federer at number two and Nadal number three.
