Jannik Sinner has just beaten Carlos Alcaraz for the third time this year…
The pair met for the first time this year in the final of the Italian Open, where Alcaraz defeated Sinner in front of his home crowd.
Then, in one of the best matches of the 21st Century, Alcaraz beat Sinner in the French Open final, saving three Championship points.

Trading wins throughout the remainder of the year, Sinner took down Alcaraz to win Wimbledon and the ATP Finals, while Alcaraz beat Sinner in the US Open final.
Alcaraz won their 2025 head-to-head 4-2, but that didn’t stop the Italian from beating his rival to a special ATP award.

For the third year in a row, Sinner was voted as the ‘Fans’ Favourite’ over Alcaraz.
Who is your favorite ATP player right now?
Thanking the fans for voting, the world number two shared the following message on Instagram.
“Hello everyone, Jannik here, thank you so much for voting for me, winning the fans’ favorite award once again means the world to me,” he said.
“Especially because of you guys, it’s been a very intense year, but you give me so much energy and love, especially when I go on the court and perform in front of you, it’s the best feeling for a tennis player.
“So thank you so much, I will prepare myself in the best possible way to be ready for next year, and see you all very soon.
“Ciao, Ciao.”

Winning his third consecutive Fans’ Favourite award, Sinner became just the second player to do so since its introduction in 2000.

What can you expect from Jannik Sinner in 2026?
The 24-year-old has won two Grand Slams in each of the last two seasons and has looked dominant against everyone not named Alcaraz.
Unless something drastic happens between now and the start of the season, we can expect more of the same in 2026.
Sinner will certainly be in with a great chance of winning the first Grand Slam of the year when he returns to the Australian Open as the two-time defending champion.
Who will win the 2026 Australian Open?
Then, he’ll head to Paris, determined to make up for his heartbreaking defeat in 2025.
Sinner had the French Open won, but failed to convert three Championship points, allowing his rival to come back and defend his title.
He’ll also be a strong contender at Wimbledon and the US Open, having won the former in 2025 and the latter in 2024.
There’s every chance that Sinner could contend for the Calendar Grand Slam next year, although Alcaraz will undoubtedly have something to say about that.
