Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are set to lock horns once again, this time in the final of the Six Kings Slam.
Sinner beat Novak Djokovic after Alcaraz had destroyed Taylor Fritz, with the pair now set to face off for the $6 million first prize.
Tim Henman was very impressed with Sinner’s serve during his match and although this was an exhibition event, the way he dismantled Djokovic was somewhat scary.
Tennis has a problem emerging with Sinner blowing a player like Djokovic off the court, and it will be interesting to see if any player can start to live with the Italian and Alcaraz next year.

Jannik Sinner sends Instagram message to Novak Djokovic
In recent days, Djokovic has been told what he should do more in 2026 and it remains to be seen when he can next get his hands on a big title.
Clearly, Sinner has a lot of respect for Djokovic and after his latest win over the 24-time Grand Slam champion, he’s taken to social media to send him a classy message.
He posted on Instagram: “Feels great to be back and really happy about my match yesterday. It’s always a huge honour and privilege to share the court with Novak Djokovic. Thank you for all the incredible support. See you tomorrow in the finals.”
Djokovic struggling to break the Sinner and Alcaraz constant
The Serbian legend should be able to retire on his own terms, but at 38-years-old, he must be getting close to being resigned to never winning a big title again.
This year, Djokovic has got to the semifinal of all four majors, losing to both Alcaraz, Sinner and retiring hurt against Alexander Zverev at the Australian Open.
- 2025 Australian Open SF [LOSS] vs Alexander Zverev – 6-7 (RET)
- 2025 French Open SF [LOSS] vs Jannik Sinner – 4-6, 5-7, 6-7
- 2025 Wimbledon SF [LOSS] vs Jannik Sinner – 3-6, 3-6, 4-6
- 2025 US Open SF [LOSS] vs Carlos Alcaraz – 4-6, 6-7, 2-6
Last week, it looked as though the door had swung open for Djokovic to win a Masters 1000 event at the Shanghai Masters, but it didn’t go according to plan.
With Sinner out early with cramps and Alcaraz not playing in the tournament, Djokovic had a golden chance to win the title, but came up against an inspired Valentin Vacherot in the semifinal.
It’s often been considered that Djokovic has a better chance of success in the best-of-three contest at Masters events, but as the Six Kings Slam proved, that hasn’t always been the case.
| Match | Winner | Loser | Score |
| 2025 Six Kings Slam | Jannik Sinner | Novak Djokovic | 6-4, 6-2 |
| 2024 Shanghai Masters – F | Jannik Sinner | Novak Djokovic | 7-6, 6-3 |
| 2024 Olympics – F | Novak Djokovic | Carlos Alcaraz | 7-6, 7-6 |
| 2023 Davis Cup – SF | Jannik Sinner | Novak Djokovic | 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 |
| 2023 ATP Finals – F | Novak Djokovic | Jannik Sinner | 6-3, 6-3 |
| 2023 ATP Finals – SF | Novak Djokovic | Carlos Alcaraz | 6-3, 6-2 |
| 2023 ATP Finals – RR | Jannik Sinner | Novak Djokovic | 7-5, 6-7, 7-6 |
| 2023 Cincinnati Open – F | Novak Djokovic | Carlos Alcaraz | 5-7, 7-6, 7-6 |

| 2021 Monte-Carlo Masters – 2R | Novak Djokovic | Jannik Sinner | 6-4, 6-2 |
It’s not clear what else Djokovic will play in between now and the end of the year, with the Serbian likely to try to be as fit as possible for the ATP Finals in Turin.
One thing that is clear, however, is that the gap between Sinner, Alcaraz and the rest of the chasing pack is growing greater, and with Djokovic not getting any younger, the same can even be said regarding the legend of the game.
