Jannik Sinner claimed the Paris Masters title and regained world number one status after defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final.
The Italian earned a 6-4, 7-6 victory over the in-form Canadian to win the tournament without dropping a set.
Sinner has now won 23 career titles and five Masters 1000 crowns, and he will take back the top spot in the ATP rankings from Carlos Alcaraz.

For Auger-Aliassime, his wait for both a maiden Masters title and ATP Finals qualification continues, with the race to Turin coming down to the wire between him and Lorenzo Musetti.
After the 25-year-old’s defeat, his conqueror had a message for him and made a prediction about his future.

In his speech during the award ceremony, Sinner told Auger-Aliassime: “Congrats on an amazing week. I know you had a lot of pressure.
“You have been in a very difficult spot throughout the whole week. I hope it pays off playing in Turin, and congrats to you and your team.
“You are for sure one of the nicest people on Tour, and if you keep playing like this, you are going to have some of these [trophies], I am very sure.
“I wish you only the best for the rest of the season, but also the rest of your career. You have been amazing.”

“Thank you to my team for pushing me to the limits. It’s been an incredible week and run in the past couple of months to try and improve as a player, and seeing these results at a high, high level of tennis. I am very happy to share them with you today. Thank you so much.”
Despite struggling with physical issues for the majority of his campaign, Sinner became the fourth player to win the Paris Masters without dropping a set, following Stefan Edberg, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic.
