Jannik Sinner continues to try and make improvements within his game.
Sinner is in sensational form at the moment, winning his last 14 consecutive matches.
This has enabled him to close the gap on Carlos Alcaraz, as Sinner targets a return to world number one during the clay court season.
Despite his recent dominance, Sinner’s coach, Simone Vagnozzi, has revealed that he is hoping to improve one shot in particular that he believes Novak Djokovic is a ‘master’ of.
Simone Vagnozzi reveals that Jannik Sinner is trying to improve his drop shot
Sinner and Djokovic’s games have often been compared in recent years, and it appears that Vagnozzi wants them to be even more similar.
When speaking to Sky Sports Italy, Vagnozzi revealed that Sinner is working on his drop shot and when to implement it, highlighting how well Djokovic uses it, as well as drawing comparisons to Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.

“I lived off the drop shot my whole career,” said Vagnozzi. “If you took that away from me, I wouldn’t know what to do anymore.
“Jokes aside, he’s understanding better when to use it and where, based on the ball the opponent gives him. Now he’s also starting to play it off the backhand, and it’s a shot he can still improve because when he hits hard from the backhand the opponents step back, so a drop shot would be a step forward in his game and technical arsenal. Djokovic is a master at this.
“There’s definitely room to add more variety, but it takes time. There’s no magic wand — it takes time to change things. No one can change in two weeks; it’s a process, and Jannik is the first one who wants to improve. Since I’ve been with him, at least, he’s a player in continuous evolution, who keeps growing.
“That’s a bit the secret of champions like Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer: never stop, always try to improve. Because if you don’t have a reason to step on the court in training, it then becomes difficult to find the motivation.”

Not only is Sinner trying to implement shots similar to Djokovic, but he could also equal one of his records at the Monte Carlo Masters.
Sinner completed the Sunshine Double after winning Indian Wells and the Miami Open last month, and he now has his eyes on a first title in Monte Carlo.
The only other man to win Indian Wells, Miami and the Monte Carlo Masters in the same year is Djokovic, who achieved this feat in 2015.

Sinner has now won his last 19 consecutive Masters 1000 matches, with Tomas Machac the only player to win a set against him in this run.
After overcoming Machac in three sets, Sinner will now face Felix Auger-Aliassime for a place in the Monte Carlo Masters semifinals, having won his last four matches against the Canadian.
