Jannik Sinner has reacted to achieving more tennis history after winning his latest match at the Madrid Open.
Sinner beat Elmer Moller 6-2, 6-3 to reach the fourth round of the Madrid Open.
This is the 24th consecutive match that Sinner has won at Masters 1000 level, with his streak seeing him lift titles in Paris, Indian Wells, Miami and the Monte Carlo Masters.
Sinner has subsequently surpassed Rafael Nadal’s best streak of 23 wins in a row, and he has now reacted to his latest achievement.

Jannik Sinner claims he ‘cannot compare’ himself to the Big Three
Sinner has now overtaken Nadal’s best winning streak at Masters 1000 level, and is moving towards Novak Djokovic (31) and Roger Federer’s (29) records as well.
When asked about this in his post-match press conference, Sinner admitted that he could not compare himself to the likes of the Big Three.
Will Jannik Sinner win the French Open?
“No, not really,” said Sinner. “I always said, and I continue to say, I don’t, I cannot compare myself with these names. They did so much stuff in their career, I’m just in the beginning. Yeah, they are different level, you know.
“For me, I’m happy to be here. I’m happy to play as many matches as possible. But what they did, it’s something else. I just try to give everything I have a hundred percent in every match. If I win, good. If not, I tried my best and I don’t have regrets. So that’s it.”
Sinner is the top seed and therefore the favorite to win the Madrid Open title, which would enable him to move on to 28 consecutive Masters 1000 wins and be within just one of Federer.

Jannik Sinner responds when asked if he has spoken to Carlos Alcaraz
What makes Sinner an even bigger favorite for the Madrid Open title is the absence of his biggest rival Carlos Alcaraz, who has withdrawn from Roland Garros due to a wrist injury.
Sinner was asked about Alcaraz in the Spanish portion of his post-match press conference and if he had been in contact with the seven-time Grand Slam champion.
“I think that’s quite personal so I won’t answer,” responded Sinner.
“His absence is felt not just here, maybe especially here in Spain, but it’ll probably be felt even more in Roland Garros.”
Will Jannik Sinner win more Grand Slams than Carlos Alcaraz in 2026?
Which Grand Slams will Jannik Sinner win this year?
Sinner will look to remain focused on his own matches, as he now plays Cameron Norrie for a place in the Madrid Open quarterfinals.
This will be a first-time meeting between the two players, with Sinner and Norrie going head-to-head on Tuesday, April 28.
