Roland Garros 2025 is approaching the fourth round, and world number one Jannik Sinner still hasn’t dropped a set at the tournament.
Sinner cruised past his first three opponents in Paris, earning straight-set wins against Arthur Rinderknech, Richard Gasquet, and Jiri Lehecka.
The three-time Grand Slam champion is in pursuit of a fourth major title at the French Open and looks to be the favourite at the moment, following second seed Carlos Alcaraz’s near scare against Damir Dzumhur.
His close friend Jack Draper, who he played doubles with previously, also booked his place in the fourth round, which the Italian spoke on, and explained why the two haven’t trained together as much recently.

In his post-match press conference, Sinner said of Draper: “He is the kind of player who I think we all saw the potential that he has or he had already a couple of years ago.
“He was very unfortunate because he was injured, he went through very difficult moments and he has changed a little bit with his team and I feel like now he is in a very consistent level, mental level and everything.
“I am good friends with him and I am very happy to have him as a friend. Of course, we are very good friends off the court, but we practice a little bit less together because we might know that we might face each other in the later stages of tournaments, hopefully, because I always love to play against him.
“He is a huge competitor, and I am very happy for him. I am the first person who is so happy for him, and he is going to have an incredible career. I wish him only the best.
“He is a very consistent player since the US Open last year. This year, maybe the most consistent player we have on tour because he won big titles and went far in every tournament, so that means you are feeling comfortable in every tournament and every situation. He knows how to play.”

In round four at Roland Garros, Sinner will face 17th seed Andrey Rublev, who he has a winning record against.
He leads the head-to-head 6-3, with their last match coming at the Cincinnati Open in 2024, which went the way of the Italian over three sets.
Draper, on the other hand, will have a third career meeting with Alexander Bublik, who he has never lost to.
The Briton’s two triumphs over the 27-year-old came at Queens in 2021, and in Adelaide last year.
Should both Sinner and Draper win their fourth-round matches, they will play each other in the quarter-finals.
