Jannik Sinner is on the march once again after beating Casper Ruud to reach the final of the ATP Finals for the second successive year.
The Italian player wowed the home crowd in Turin by comfortably despatching Ruud in straight sets on Saturday night.
Sinner won 6-1, 6-2 to claim an emphatic victory and set up a repeat of the US Open final against Taylor Fritz on Sunday evening.
The 23-year-old reached the final of this event last year but on that occasion ran into a relentless Novak Djokovic.
Today, things will be considerably different, with Sinner being the heavy favourite after thrashing Fritz at Flushing Meadows in September.

Sinner has shared the four Grand Slams with Carlos Alcaraz during 2024 and he’s way ahead of the field at the top of the world rankings.
In reaching the final he’s equalled the record set by Boris Becker by becoming the second man in history to reach the final on his first two occasions playing in the ATP Finals.
Sinner will be hoping to go one better than Becker later today by winning one of the two finals that he’s reached in this event – something that Becker didn’t manage.
Although the German star won the ATP Finals on three occasions, he had to wait until 1988 to win for the first team after reaching finals in 1985 and 1986.
Sinner makes Italian history at ATP Finals too
The 23-year-old is on a collision course to claim tennis dominance at the moment.
This year he’s been relentless at times and has won more matches on the ATP Tour than anybody else.
Sinner has also become the first Italian man in history to reach back-to-back ATP Finals and that is something he will be proud of.
Fritz has a formidable task to stop the player later on Sunday and after losing to him in the round-robin stage, surely the outcome is a foregone conclusion.
Sinner is very much the player of the year and at 23, it’s pretty scary to think how much he could achieve in tennis as the years progress.
