Jannik Sinner continued his Wimbledon title defence with another straight-sets victory against Jan-Lennard Struff in the quarterfinals.

Jannik Sinner speaks after his latest win at Wimbledon
Asked in his post-match press conference what part of his game he is most satisfied with heading into the semifinals, Sinner said: “It felt like serving in important moments.
“I felt like I was serving quite intelligently today, even though I was up a break. Second set, I had a drop of concentration again. I tried to stay there mentally in every service game.
“Yeah, also how I handled important moments in that match because if you lose second sets, everything can happen again. Especially with big servers, you have less control.
How high can Arthur Fery go in the world rankings?
“That’s for sure something I can be proud of. That’s it. I felt like today was, again, a small step better because it was a very different opponent I faced until now.
“Big server here on grass is always tough. Happy about today’s performance, and now of course I try to be as ready as I can for the semis.”

Jannik Sinner suggests the conditions in Wimbledon are manageable
A big talking point surrounding Sinner heading into Wimbledon was his physical state, having struggled with brutal heat at the French Open, which played a big part in his second-round exit.
The temperature in Wimbledon during Sinner’s match with Struff went north of 30C, but the four-time ?
“It felt okay,” said Sinner. “I mean, it was warm, but nothing crazy. In Australia, I feel like it’s tougher because also on the surface you’re playing, with hard court it comes also from underneath.
“It was quite dry today, which is a big difference. When it’s humid and warm, it’s different again.
“But no, I felt quite comfortable today. It was warm, yes. It was similar I feel like to Paris maybe. But yeah, it was okay.”
Sinner, seeded first at Wimbledon, is looking to complete his second Grand Slam title defence after going back-to-back at the Australian Open in 2025.
