Jack Draper has made an interesting addition to his coaching team ahead of his return from injury.
When Draper returns, he will be joined by Jamie Delgado, Andy Murray’s former coach.
48-year-old Delgado last worked with Grigor Dimitrov, but split with the Bulgarian recently after three years together.

Draper’s head coach, James Trotman, will remain with the team but is set to take a step back and won’t travel with the Brit every week.
The move is certainly an interesting one, and proves Draper has completely changed his mind, considering what he said just one year ago…
Jack Draper said having two coaches was ‘not simple’ in 2024
In 2024, Draper hired South Africa’s Wayne Ferreira to his team on a trial basis.
The pair worked together for four months, winning the Stuttgart Open title in June, before splitting on the eve of the US Open.
During his pre-tournament press conference, Draper explained why he chose to part ways with Ferreira.

“Wayne [Ferreira] coming on board was obviously a good decision based on his value as a coach, and he was experienced as a player, but I’ve always been a player who likes to keep things simple,” he said.
“I’ve never had that team dynamic before, where I’ve got two different voices and two different coaches, and I always wanted Trots [James Trotman] to be the one leading what I was doing.
“I just felt like it was not as simple as I liked, and I wanted one voice in my team, and I feel like it was probably the right thing to part ways with Wayne and keep it how I want it as a player.
“That being said, my time with Wayne has been amazing. I’ve learned a lot. I sort of got a lot of value from him. I think he’s an amazing guy and one who will continue to be a friend.”
Having admitted he struggled with the dynamics of a two-coach set-up in 2024, Draper will now work with two coaches, Delgado and Trotman, in 2026.
It seems like Draper has completely changed his mind, but only time will tell whether the move will pay off for the British number one.
Jamie Delgado’s coaching record
Delgado began his coaching career in 2014 alongside his former doubles partner, Gilles Muller.
Guiding Muller back into the top 50, Delgado helped the star from Luxembourg play some of the best tennis of his career, aged 32.
The Brit then became Murray’s head coach in 2016, overseeing the three-time Grand Slam champion’s best year of his professional career.

Winning the ATP Finals, Murray became world number one for the first time in his career, a ranking he held for 41 consecutive weeks.

Delgado continued to work with Murray until 2021, despite his injury struggles, which saw him fall down the rankings.
He became Dimitrov’s coach a year later and guided him to two Masters 1000 finals and his first title in seven years.
Whether he can add any more trophies to his collection alongside Draper remains to be seen, but it will certainly be something to look out for in 2026.
Draper is set to return to action at the UTS Grand Final event in London, which begins on Friday, December 5.
