Iva Jovic confirmed her place in another WTA-level semi-final at the Charleston Open.
Jovic is one of the most exciting prospects in tennis and the young American has flourished at her first clay court tournament of the year.
She defeated Anna Kalinskaya in the Charleston quarter-final, following victories over Sofia Kenin and Alycia Parks.

Iva Jovic shares her post-match tradition
Speaking on The Tennis Channel, Jovic confirmed that she is always thinking about the next match as soon as she wins.
After defeating Kalinskaya in Charleston, the American teenager took to the practice courts to prepare for her semi-final with Jessica Pegula.
Who is America’s best female player right now?
Jovic confirmed it’s a tradition she has conducted since she started playing tennis as a child.
She explained: “I always go out to practice afterwards, it’s something I’ve been doing my entire career. We work on what could have been done better and what I’ll need in the next round.”
It just goes to show Jovic’s immense mentality, which could help her claim major titles throughout her tennis career.
It’s incredibly rare for tennis players to hit the practice court after a match, and especially so after a victory.

Jovic has enjoyed a superb start to the year, which included her very first Grand Slam quarter-final at the Australian Open.
18 victories already this year have helped her soar up the rankings and she currently sits inside the WTA Tour top 20.

If so, which tournament would it be?
