Iga Swiatek saw her 2025 end in disappointment as she crashed out at the round robin stage of the WTA Finals.

Swiatek was branded a sore loser after Amanda Anisimova beat her, and she was left to rue some missed opportunities in Riyadh.

Against Elena Rybakina, Swiatek made some mistakes, and she won’t look back on the tournament with any real fondness at all.

Swiatek has been setting some unwanted records of late, and now another has emerged that will give her a solid guide of what to work on in 2026.

With the curtain coming down on 2025, Aryna Sabalenka has been the most consistent player, completing another full year at the top of the world rankings.

Swiatek did win Wimbledon in the summer, but after tasting success at that tournament, it has not been the best second half of the year.

Now, a list of statistics has emerged which includes how many times each member of the WTA top 10 players has lost sets either 6-0 or 6-1 in 2025.

Swiatek sits at the top of the list, losing 13 sets by those scorelines this year, and that does provide a cause for concern for the Polish performer.

Swiatek dangerously close to the top of the pile for the whole WTA

Having won a big title this year, Swiatek might not worry too much about these statistics, but it’s certainly not ideal.

Another set of statistics showcases the standings when it comes to the whole WTA Tour, and Swiatek is quite high up on that list, too.

Swiatek sits sixth on the standings for most sets lost 6-0 or 6-1 in 2025, and it perhaps does offer Swiatek some idea of where to improve next season.

Moyuka Ucijima is top of the list for most sets lost with a breadstick or a bagel, being on the wrong end of either scoreline on 17 occasions.

Katie Boulter sits third on the list with 13, whilst Emma Raducanu has lost by those scorelines on 12 occasions.

Swiatek remains one of the best tennis players in the world, but seeing her name at the top of this list won’t please someone as dedicated to the profession.

Losing so many sets by such big margins is something that clearly needs to be worked on in 2026, and it will be interesting to see if Swiatek addresses the figures.
